First  - Love the SCANDB  application - have been using it for about over a year Plus.  this is the first time going back to something i did way back then since it has work flawlessly.     I wanted to be able to scan to  scanner  via  Windows and there are not many apps out there.     This week I found this https://sourceforge.net/projects/sanewinds/ -  which seems to do the trick.  If there  is another one out please let me know.

Second- I wanted to know what is the best method of updating the software (just in case it helps), the last time i remember performing this step it broke everthing. Thank god i have a configured image.

everyhing appear normally.  scanbm is launched and i get a response from SANwinDS "Sane Server Returned status 1935892846"   in the log there  is the following

Mar 7 21:37:37 PiScanner saned[5872]: init: access by host 192.168.101.141 denied

please let me know, thank you!

Totally forgot there is a second saned.conf configuration file  in /usr/local/etc/scanbd/saned.conf controlling network access.   that takes care of that!
